TeamDynamixHE is pleased to debut several new areas of enhancement that take effect with the recent release of Version 6.4.
Project Request System
- Introducing the Consolidated Business Case Model Project Request System
The new system uses a series of steps to build a comprehensive business case-style project request. Steps are configurable; the TDSysAdmin user sets which steps are required for request, required for review, in what order they appear and what they're named. The requestor completes the steps and submits the completed request for evaluation. The reviewer completes their evaluation and submits the request to the head evaluator or approves it, depending on the workflow.
- Mark a Step as Complete
All steps must be marked "Complete" to submit for review.
- Custom-Configure the Steps for Project Request and Review
Make these customizations from the management console for the TDSysAdmin user. Choose which steps are required for request, required for review, in what order they appear and what they're named. For example, if you don't use "Benefits" or another listed step in your project request process, rename it as a step more relevant for you or turn it off completely.
- Additional Project Request System Capabilities
- Add comments to the items in the following sections in Project Requests and Portfolio Planning:
- Goals
- Processes
- Systems Affected
- Processes Affected
- Increased Usability
- Project request title at the top of each page within the request
- Dynamic Help section
- Icons reflect whether or not the section is complete
- System makes sure all sections are completed before the request is allowed to proceed
- History records who completed each section of the project request and when it was completed
- Requests already in the Project Request System will seamlessly roll over into the new Project Request system format.
Admin Logging
The Admin tool will log all actions which change configuration data to the database.
Help
The new TeamDynamixHE Help lets you contribute your knowledge to the Help section content, wiki-style. The Admin tool has been enhanced to include a separate help system with the same features seen in TDNext (Projects) Help.
Usability Enhancements
- To Do List - The new TeamDynamixHE To Do List offers you an informal way to keep track of your personal list sof items to remember. Manage your To Do List from your TDNext (Projects) dashboard. You can also send to do items to a team member by IM-ing them text with "todo:" at the beginning of the message. If the team member accepts the item, it adds automatically to that member's To Do List.
- Update Tasks with Right Click - In Version 6.4, you can update a task in your project plan directly from the right-click menu.
- Collapsible Parent Tasks in Project Plan List View - For increased readability of the list view of a lengthy project plan, collapse the child tasks within a parent task so that you see a clear and concise list of your high-level tasks.
